This is for all of my people out there. I got love for all people, especially those who show love to me. This post is going out to Black people because we need to get our act together. It's ok to have a few sport stars, famous entertainers, and high profile politicians but that don't help the working class.
The brothers & sisters who doing 40hr weeks are struggling to keep their heads above water. It's tough trying keep shelter, food, clothes, and stay current on all the bills. Just one pay check from everything just going down the drain. The news got you uptight because the company you work for are cutting 10,000 jobs and your head might be on the chopping block.
These are some real jacked up times and things will most likely get worst before they get better. Don't go jump the Golden Gate Bridge! Ease down, pray & meditate, keep your wits, and take it one day at a time. Stay strong and we'll ride it out. For those who want to do more than wait and hope for the best, you could try to start your own business.
It brutal economically, but the seeds for recovery are in place. The government is about to pump oceans of money into the system, interests are already rock bottom, and opportunities are there for the creative ones to take advantage of. You just might mess around become a success story!
As a community we need more Black business owners. Besides Barber shops and Beauty Salons, everything else in Black neighborhoods is owned by other people. I'm happy for those groups, but Black people have got theirs too.
Those other groups make their money and share it with their own people, which is a good thing. I'm not knocking them, because you should be able to break bread with your own people. There's nothing wrong with that. I believe we should do the same thing. Lets have our businesses in the mix with theirs, so we can spread the wealth amongst our own.
I'm not just talking about it. I've started mine and it's been a tough grind, but slowly things are coming together in my favor. I see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. The profits I earn will be reinvested Oakland, CA. Oakland is my town and I see the potential for greatness in it. I love it and I don't pay any attention to the media's skewed perception of it. I'm proud to be a Black Oaklandien!

Yes , This is a true statement ... we do have to get our own things but somethings, when, we do get our own things. Some people for get where they came from and the people who help got them there. Many people such as actors, musicans, yes and even politicals forget where they came from. People in generals should make their neighborhood and community better. I believe all people should make thinhs better for the fellow man. We should not look at the color of your skin, and communities we was raise in. Lets say I was rasie in the surburbs. SO you are saying I should just look out for my COMMUNITY... I should like at every COMMUNITY to better help PEOPle.........WE Are the same people but we have different things that define who we are. So lets focus on us In General not about us as a race of people
