Just because a man/woman might appear to be Black does not mean that they have an natural inclination to fight towards the advancement for all Black people.
The President of the US is just a man with a job. He don't know me, my family, or any of my friends. I personally don't know any Black people who donated to his campaign. I know most of them voted for him, but none of those people gave him any money.
Either way he's not obligated to do anything for us, accept what he does to help all US citizens. With that say, him being elected President does not mean that myself or any other Black person are in any better position, then we were with Bush. He's President of the United States, not President of Black people.
His first obligation is to do favors for the interest groups that gave him the majority of that 1 billion for his campaign. They didn't pump out all that $$$ because they liked them. They did it to gain influence. Whatever it is that he appears to do it will be what the folks who in his pockets want him to do.
Ron Dellums is a Black man who is Major of Oakland(My Hometown). Dellums is such a figure head and cog in the machine that he can't even criticize BART for their mishandling of the Oscar Grant Murder. At this point, I don't trust any politicians. All of them are liars.
